Apostille issuance: what’s changing in 2025
Since May 1, 2025, the issuance of apostilles (required to recognize a French document abroad) is no longer handled by the courts of appeal but directly by you or by certain notaries appointed by the State.
This new system aims to simplify procedures, make them faster, and fully digital.
